CLOSURE: PLEASE NOTE
Thomas Road south of Gratiot will be closed to thru traffic at the bridge beginning Monday, November 24th while the Saginaw County Road Commission replaces the existing bridge over the Williams Creek.
The closure is expected to last until February.
In February, they anticipate opening the roadway with a gravel surface over the bridge. They will then have a temporary closure again in the spring after the asphalt plants opens to pave.

MMWA’s Holiday Light Recycling Drive Starts November 15!
Don’t toss those tangled lights—give them a second life! Starting America Recycles Day, you can drop off your old holiday lights at any of our participating locations during normal business hours.

New Gate Near Community Park
For the safety of our residents and guests using Community Park, a gate is being installed to stop the cut-thru traffic going east to west and west to east in the parking lot (near the speed bump). With a large number of people enjoying our park and a lot of traffic on a daily basis we felt this measure was necessary to take. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but your safety is our first and foremost concern.
“Little Free Libraries”
Thank you to the Kiwanis for installing “Little Free Libraries” in Thomas Township. You can find them at Day Park, Community Park, Roberts Park, along the Thomas Township Trail, at the Trailhead Building and at Community Garden!
New building…new drop boxes!
For your convenience the new Thomas Township has a “drive thru” drop box on the North side of the building. The drive thru lane runs parallel with Shields Drive. You can use this drop box for payments or election mail (absentee ballots or applications). The items placed in this drop box come directly into the building into a safe securing your payments and election materials.
In the front of the building on the North side a secure locked outdoor drop box has been installed that is specifically for election materials (absentee ballots and applications) which is available to residents.
Both of these drop boxes are available 24/7 and are on camera at all times.
