The Thomas Township Girls Basketball program was established with the simple goals of teaching the sport of basketball and growing the sport in our community and throughout Mid-Michigan. Our divisions are split by grades; 2nd -4th and 4th -6th. 4th graders have the option to play in either division. Our Girls’ Basketball season typically runs from the third week in February and lasts for six weeks. We average around 100 kids each season and are continuing our efforts to grow. All of our teams are assembled by Thomas Township staff, and teams are coached by parent volunteers. On average, coaches schedule 1 practice a week at either Shields Elementary School or Havens Elementary School and are scheduled through the Parks and Recreation office. Games are played on Saturday mornings starting at 9 am and go until 1 pm, depending on the number of teams we have each season. For a breakdown of the Thomas Township Basketball Rules CLICK HERE.
