Contest rules:

• Contestants must be 18 or older to sign the photo release form.
  • If the contestant is not 18 years or older, a parent must sign the release form as well. 
• No professional photographers. This is an opportunity for amateur photographers.
• All submissions for each month must be completed before the 25^th of the month.
• Photos that are submitted for a month must be taken within that month.
  • ex: If a photo is taken in July, it must be submitted in July.
• Only one photo per submission.
• One photographer can submit up to 5 photos per month.
• Each submission costs $5.
• You can enter every month, but once you win a month, you can no longer submit to be featured in the calendar.
• Only first and last names will be put on the calendar.

Photo Rules

• Photos must be taken in the Preserve, not of the Nature Center or in the driveway. Cross the walking path and capture the Preserves beauty.
• No edited photos. We want to see the raw beauty of the Preserve.
• No people, only nature.

Submitting Process:

All submissions must be emailed to Kailey Irish at the Nature Center. Naturecenter1@thomastwp.org

The email must contain a filled-out submission form on a PDF file and a PNG file with the single photo that is being submitted.

To pay in person: Visit the Thomas Township Parks and Rec. office at 249 N. Miller Rd.

To pay online: Go to our website thomastwp.org and Click on the Nature Center and Preserve Tab, then Programs. You will see the Photo Contest Tab.

We are open M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm. There is also a dropbox on the side of our building for your convenience.

Voting

All submissions will be voted on to determine which photo won that month. Voting will be done by Thomas Township Members and local photographers. Voting will take place after the 25^th of the month. The winner will be contacted before the end of the month and posted on Facebook. 

Winners: Winners will receive a free calendar and their money back, only for the submission that won the contest.
