Keep Sidewalks Cleared of Snow and Ice
Property owners are reminded that Township ordinances require removal of snow and ice from sidewalks within 48 hours after a snowfall. The primary reason for this ordinance is safety. School children and others use the sidewalks on a regular basis. Their safety is jeopardized when they are forced to walk in the streets because the sidewalks have not been cleared.
This ordinance also applies to removal of stones, leaves and other debris that occasionally collects on sidewalks.
Please be a good neighbor and keep your sidewalks cleared. Remind the person who plows your driveway not to block sidewalks with snow removed from the driveway.
