Community Development Department
The Community Development Department consists of the Building, Planning, Assessing, and Zoning Departments. All types of permits such as building, electrical, plumbing and heating are issued from this area. All permits are issued within 24 hours if all necessary information is submitted in proper order. If you are planning to construct a new home, new business or addition you can call 989-781-0150 to talk with the Building Inspector. He is in between 8:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. to assist you five days a week. If you have a code related problem such as junk and garbage on a lot near yours, contact the Code Enforcement Officer.
